The Vignelli Center for Design Studies 2020 Annual Report captures a year of transition, reflection, and digital innovation for the Vignelli Center for Design Studies. Amidst the global disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Center welcomed new leadership and quickly adapted to virtual engagement—offering lectures from leading design voices such as Natalie Nixon, Gary Hustwit, and Noel Mayo. Major milestones included the launch of the Vignelli page on Google Arts & Culture and the 10th anniversary of Metaproject, commemorated through an exhibition at RIT CityArt Space. Despite physical distance, the Center remained committed to its core mission of education, preservation, and advocacy—marking a decade of design impact and looking ahead to new modes of connection and critical discourse.
